The Setting

Downtown Seattle. 2001.

The time is early February of 2001. The Twin Towers are still standing. All of the original members of the Ramones are still alive. [The author suddenly just made herself real depressed.] Dotcom employees don't burst out laughing when you mention stock options...yet.

The layoffs are just beginning...

and so are their problems.
