D. Reinert was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. About halfway through her college degree, she realized that she wasn't going to be able to use her degree for a job, so she decided what the hell, she might as well have some fun and do her thesis project on something she loves.
She then went on to major in General Studies with a focus on Creative Writing and published a short story collection about females and their hidden (and sometimes not so hidden) power called Desperate Women.
After doing time for 10+ years in the customer servive industry, she realized-- belatedly-- that life is too short to spend doing something you don't feel passionate about, and decided if she had to pick up the phone even one more time to a customer screaming at her to be transferred to Jeff Bezos, she'd rather work at...well, the Lusty Lady (see characters/plot). She was lucky enough to be able to take a year-long hiatus and get serious about writing. The initial result is the contemporary, mainstream novel Days to Go.
Mrs. Reinert lives in the Pacific NW with her sweet husband--the best thing that ever happened to her-- and their baby kitten, Mouse. When she's not writing, she's go-go dancing, wearing vintage clothing, and drinking martinis (on a good night, all at the same time!)
She has recently successfully completed the University of Washington Editing Certificate program, and is hard at work on her next novel, about mafia wives looking for a little payback .
She enjoys being contacted by and corresponding with like-minded individuals... and an agent wouldn't hurt, either!
Thanks again for getting this far! Come back real soon, y'all!
